How did 3 Daughters Brewing Start?

Leigh and Mike Harting, pondering how to fund their three daughters' college education and improve their restaurant's beer-battered fish in St. Petersburg, FL, decided to create their own craft beer. Surprised by its popularity, they sought a small advanced brewing system, but ended up with a colossal, 30-barrel brewhouse, prompting the question, "How many beers do we need to sell to finance our daughters' education?" Thus, 3 Daughters Brewing was born in 2013.

Today, it's one of Florida's largest independent breweries, with a bustling tasting room in St. Petersburg and a second one opened in Clearwater Beach in 2022. That year, they also opened a location at St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport. They now produce a variety of beverages, including award-winning beers, ciders, seltzers, canned cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks. Thanks to Ty’s innovation, Mike’s drive and Leigh’s salesmanship, 3 Daughters Brewing is found throughout Florida, in major retailers, amusement parks, liquor stores, and restaurants.

3 Daughters Brewing stands out among St. Pete's bustling brewery scene. Its vast space is filled with amenities, from games like darts and cornhole to a captivating Christmas village display, which is the owners' personal collection. The place is known for its lively atmosphere, amplified by a regular schedule of live music.

The beer selection is broad and widely distributed, featuring satisfactory IPAs, blond lagers, and a variety of light drinks like seltzers and ciders. The friendly staff is always ready with recommendations. Their tasting flights offer a unique opportunity to sample new beers, like the distinctive smoked habanero ale. 

The brewery is ideal for group gatherings, with ample indoor and outdoor seating, and is both dog and child-friendly. While there are no fancy cocktails, there's a wide variety of drinks and food options, both inside and from visiting food trucks. The Cuban sandwich and BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich are particularly noteworthy, both boasting distinct, delicious flavors.

The venue is also home to a range of engaging activities, including silent discos and other fun events. Staff are attentive, even going as far as replacing a mistakenly served drink for free. 3 Daughters Brewing offers a great experience for both first-time visitors and returning fans. It's a place where you can enjoy a game, a beer, and a sense of community, all under one roof.

Beach Blonde Ale: A Blonde Ale with a 5% ABV, it's a delightful blend of light and refreshing flavors with a perfect balance of hops and malt sweetness. The hint of citrus adds a unique touch, making it a year-round companion for the sunny, 82-degree climate of St. Petersburg, FL.

Bimini Twist IPA: An American IPA with a 7% ABV, this beer features a gentle hint of citrus from the hops, resulting in a brew as refreshing as a Bimini sea breeze. This is an IPA that tells a tale of adventure and is certainly a keeper.

Rod Bender Red Ale: An American Amber/Red Ale with a 5.6% ABV, this beer tempts with its big, bold flavors and a smooth balance that's irresistible. The sweet caramel finish will have you hooked from your first sip.

The brewery operates Monday to Thursday from 11:30 am to 10:00 pm, Fridays and Saturdays from 11:30 am to 12 am, and Sundays from 11:30 am to 8:00 pm.
